Post Thanksgiving Trauma!

I really went on a eating binge on Thanksgiving.  The high alkaline, high plant food diet that i have been trying to jump start was gone for the moment as i gorged on turkey, gravy,  and all the side dishes that would fit on my plate, ummmm!  I finished it off with Chocolate Cream Pie…..ok the holidays are not over and I am feeling like one of those people that makes a New Years resolution so they can pound down the holiday delights with a promise to go on a diet after the New Year.  I won’t promise to diet but I want to head towards the raw whole foods mentality.   The more I educate myself on our foods the more I can see why there is so much disease to battle.  God didn’t intend for us to exisit on all this prefab food, the GO modified creepy stuff they are doing to our crops………our seeds, they are taking the life out of them.  If we just learn about our bodies we learn we need clean good fuel to keep it running, just like a car needs an oil change, clean gas, a flush of the radiator………it is such a picture of what we need to do in order to function properly.  I want that and need that and I am excited about the prospect of practicing what I preach!

Happy Holidays………..Q

  • Yeah I totally agree with you, and I so respect your realism. For quite a few years now I have given up the resolution thing @ holiday time and practised some kind of moderation over the season. This raw food thing sounds interesting and I keep eyeing the dandelions on the back lawn trying to work out the ones the dog has not peed on, so I can make a dandelion smoothie. I love your wisdom Q and it's great to have a mentor like you..
